New keyboards proposed by APEM feature stainless steel front face and keys, which will withstand intensive use without deteriorating, even in harsh environments (bad weather, shocks, vandalism, etc.).

The main advantages of this range are good tactile feedback and IP65 front panel sealing.

STANDARD KEYBOARDS

• 4 to 16-key "Pin Pads", with round or square keys.

  Main applications: banking, access control, tolls, etc.

• 55 to 90-key keyboards, available in Azerty, Qwerty, or

  Qwertz configurations. All equipped with a PS2 interface.

  Supplied with or without trackball.

Options

• Backlighting by LED available for all keyboards.

• Heating of the keyboard in outdoor applications to provide for a positive temperature.

APPLICATION NOTE

KEYBOARDS FOR INTERACTIVE KIOSKS

Long-travel stainless steel keyboards are used mainly for multimedia interactive kiosks installed in the street or in public places: airports, telecom or bank agencies, trade centers, tourist information offices or theme parks.

The long-travel keyboard, which allows rapid data entry like a conventional keyboard, gives access to several data bases. The user can get information on train/planes schedules, touristic events, hotel availabilities, but also consult Internet, the Stock Exchange, administrative data, send or receive e-mails.
